Fabian Amini is the Head of Rolling Stock Management of DB Schenker Rail Polska S.A. He and his team of 45 employees manage 366 locomotives and around 6,200 wagons of the DB Schenker Rail Polska Group. Their task is to supply a safe, competitive, reliable and sustainable fleet in order to ensure satisfaction of DB Schenker Rail’s clients.
Mr Amini graduated in Business Management in Berlin (Germany) in 2003, where he specialized in Finance, Optimization, Statistics and Accounting. After his studies, he joined the DB Group as a trainee in the passenger transport division where he stayed until 2004. From 2004 - 2006 he worked as the assistant to the Management Board for Passenger Transport of Deutsche Bahn AG. Afterwards, he worked as a project manager in the Corporate Strategy department where he was responsible for several strategy projects. In 2009, he joined the rail freight division of DB Group, DB Schenker Rail, and was the deputy head of the post-merger integration project for DB Schenker Rail Polska. He was responsible for integrating the acquired Polish rail freight operators into the DB Schenker Rail organization, focusing on rolling stock, production and sidings topics. Since June 2010, he has been working in his current job as the Head of Rolling Stock Management at DB Schenker Rail Polska in Katowice where he also lives on work days. At weekends, he is regularly commuting to Berlin.
